Language
Polish is the second most widely spoken West Slavic language. It is largely SVO (subject-verb-object) oriented and nouns have three genders: masculine, feminine and neuter. Considered one of the more difficult languages for Anglophones to master, Polish should be translated and proofed by native speakers.
Economic Significance
Language is a defining feature of the identity of the Polish people. In fact, Poland is the most linguistically homogenous nation in Europe with foreign citizens making up just 0.3 percent of the population.
History
In the 10th century, Polish began to appear as a distinct language.
