Alphabet Linguistics has traditionally served academic and government institutions and corporate clients. Why are we offering certified translations?
Quite simply, we’re satisfying demand from an underserved market. We routinely work with over sixty languages and we’ve earned a reputation for customer happiness. We already include an option for a notarized certification of translation accuracy so USCIS documents were a good fit. Many linguists turn away this type of work citing less intellectual and creative challenge than technical and commercial translation. We, on the other hand, find it gratifying to connect with clients on a personal level. Applying for US citizenship is a significant life event and we’re delighted to share that experience with clients.
What does USCIS require?
According to 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), all documents submitted in support of an application or petition must include complete translation into English. In addition, there must be a certification from the translator indicating that the translation is complete and accurate and attesting to his or her competence as a translator.
What is included in a certified translation?
Every certified translation includes a certificate of translation accuracy. Our certificate is stamped and signed by a representative of Alphabet Linguistics attesting to the accuracy of the translation. Documents include birth certificates, Divorce, Legal, Adoption, Marriage, Passport, Drivers, Birth, Death, Diploma.
Does USCIS require a notarized document?
No, USCIS does not require a notarized translation. However, if you request a notarized certificate, we can provide it which can be collected in-person or we can mail it to you.
